You are never too young to start making a difference. At age 13, Renee “Juice” Flowers was given the mantle of leading the Wildcats, a girls drill team in the Gowanus Houses. Through her creative talents as a composer and time as a mentor, Flowers’ leadership of the Wildcats has instilled discipline, dignity and inspiring creativity in the lives of many girls while bringing pride and joy to the community. All this while raising her son and becoming a surrogate mother, aunt, big sister and friend to many.
